High quality Piano & Singing lessons for anyone who wishes to further their studies in Grade exams, improve musical abilities or just wants to play/sing for fun. Yina is one of the finest musicians in the country who has lots of qualifications and expertise to take your musical ability to the next level. She teaches a variety of styles including classical, pop music, cross-over and music theatre.
Students of all ages and abilities are welcome. She is happy to teach you whether you are a complete beginner or advanced student. Her students consistently pass grade exams with flying colours at all levels.
You will benefit from learning within a relaxed and positive environment. Lessons are taught in zone one and well served by public transport. The transport links are excellent, being located an equal distance from both Victoria station (for the Victoria, District and Circle lines services).
Yina has pursued a busy career as a performer and teacher. Among her many qualifications, Yina is a master graduate from the Royal Music Conservatory Belgium with a Master degree in Piano & Singing. She also studied ‘Music in Education’ at, London Metropolitan University. She was an opera singer at the Belgian Royal Opera House and had many solo concerts worldwide. She is also a qualified participiant of the top world international singing competition – Queen Elisabeth Music competition 2004 in Belgium.
She used to be a piano and singing teacher at the London Piano School and The Hampshire Independent School in Chelsea for many years. She offers high quality private lessons for anyone who is interested in classical, pop music, cross-over and music theatre.
For the past years, her students have received offers from the Guildhall Music School, Trinity Music College, Purcell school of Music with scholarships and other music schools of their choice. In 2007, one of her students was the first prize winner of International piano competition in San Sebastian, Spain. In 2018, one of her students was in the semi-final of 'The Voice UK'.
Having taken lessons with Yina for more than three years now, she has become the most integral part of my career as a singer, performance artist and theatre professional. What for me has started as an experiment (I could not replicate any sort of melody) has turned into a journey of constant improvement, and she has the sensitivity to know which part of the clockwork to adjust next in order to help me project, sing with pitch and quality, and protect my own voice.
Yina has been a wonderful teacher for my 10 year old daughter. Her attention to detail is outstanding which lead my daughter from beginner level to advanced level for both singing & piano in very short span of time with a wide range of repertoire. She has recently been accepted to Purcell school with Scholarship. It’s not just the countless exams my daughter passed under Yina’s guidance but the overall ability in music has gone beyond expectation.
Yina’s is a fabulous teacher, who I highly recommended. She is reliable, conscientious and teaches with an ethos of ‘everything is achievable’ with practise, this is coupled with a sense of fun and respect with and from her students. I am proud to say that Yina has enabled my daughter to reach her true musical potential in such a short length of time.
Since taking the lessons with Yina, my daughter has made magnificent improvement, and she has got a very high distinction result with full marks on exams pieces and sight reading for her ABRSM piano exam.
